One of the major issues facing congress today is the bill sponsored by a bipartisan group of Senators John Kerry, Lindsey Graham, and Joseph Lieberman. “The bill is far from perfecrt. Yesterday, forty-one Senate Republicans voted against a financial reform bill. President Obama has strongly supported regulation of the financial industry as does most of the population (polls say anywhere from 61% to 70%). The SEC has filed charges against Goldman Sachs for fraud. And still the bankers raked in billions in salaries and benefits.
